Dr. Peter A. Wuffli, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Peter A. Wuffli Peter Wuffli obtained a PhD in economics from the University of St. Gallen with a dissertation on Swiss direct investments in Mexico. Ever since that time he has been interested in themes around globalization, ethics and management, and he has published widely on this subject.

From 1984 to 1993, Peter Wuffli was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where from 1990 onwards he was a Partner and member of the management of the Swiss office. In 1994 he joined Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) as Group Chief Financial Officer. He worked for the bank in various positions at Group management level until 2007. He was President from 2001 and Group CEO from 2003 onwards.

Peter Wuffli is a member of the Board of Directors of Karl Steiner AG, the leading Swiss total services contractor firm, as well as of Partners Group in Zug (Switzerland), one of the world's leading alternative investment management firms. Further, he contributes as Vice-Chairman to the boards of the Lausanne business school IMD and of the Zurich Opera House. Finally, he is a co-founder and Chairman of the Friends of FDP, one of the leading political parties in Switzerland.

Andreas R. Kirchschläger, Chief Executive Officer

Andreas R. Kirchschläger

Andreas Kirchschläger graduated from Law School at the University of St. Gallen, where he studied law and economics. As Managing Director and President of the St. Gallen Foundation for International Studies, he was from 1997 to 2008 responsible for the annual St. Gallen Symposium. In 1999 Andreas Kirchschläger was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Max Schmidheiny Foundation and, as President, entrusted with its management. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Altium Capital AG, a member of the Board of the World Microfinance Forum Geneva, and has been a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen since 2002. In August 2008, Andreas Kirchschläger took over as CEO of the elea Foundation for Ethics in Globalization.

Myrtha Bohni, Chief Administration Officer

Myrtha BohniMyrtha Bohni began her career in the pharmaceuticals industry, and headed the offices of the executives of various trading and financial companies. From 1989 she was assistant to the Area Head Economics and Business Management at Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) and, from 1994 onwards, to the then Group CFO and later founder of elea, Peter Wuffli. The two worked together at UBS until 2007, after which she assumed her current responsibilities at the elea Foundation for Ethics in Globalization.

Regula S. Müller, Associate

Regula S. MüllerRegula Müller studied economics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur and the Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid. She then completed a seven-month management traineeship in Bangladesh before joining an executive search company, where she spent two years as a project manager. Before attending university she worked at Accenture in Zurich and Orange Communications in Lausanne, and spent six months travelling in Australia and three in South-East Asia. Regula Müller has been with the elea Foundation for Ethics in Globalization since July 2008.
